Nine planets and their vedic mantras.

There are countless astronomical bodies in the universe, but there are only 9 planets and 27 nakshatras that have been taken as the main bodies around which the whole science of astrology revolves. Based on these planetary motions and time calculations, panchangs and horoscopes are prepared and various astrological events are calculated.

In astrology, from the nine planets - sun, moon, mars, mercury, jupiter, venus and saturn are considered as main planetary bodies and rest of the two are known as shadow planets rahu and ketu that have their strong influence on the human lives.

The planetary positions in the birth chart or horoscope of a person affects various aspects of life of that person. From this, an astrologer can assume what type of life the person will live, what amount of wealth he can acquire in his whole life, what type of education he could attain, what will be his health conditions in the future.

These faults or troubles that arise in our lives are our accumulated past karmas. It is inevitable that we can’t escape the bad deeds of our past life but we can surely reduce the effects by performing religious practices, pooja, chanting mantras, donations etc. as prescribed according to the placements of the planets.

It is also said that if we remain aware of our thoughts and deeds we can definitely mend our past karmas and by doing good karmas, we can improve our future births as well. Small changes in our behaviour towards others may do wonders while getting divine blessings.
